“I can’t wait to share Enigma with all of my fans and with Las Vegas,” Lady Gaga said Tuesday, revealing the details of her upcoming Las Vegas residency beginning on Dec. 28 at the Park Theatre.

“We’re creating a show unlike anything I’ve done before,” she said in a press release on Aug. 7. “It will be a celebration of all that is unique and different within us. The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love and music.”

Lady Gaga will perform 27 shows through November 8, 2019. Two different performances will make up the schedule. Most shows will be “Lady Gaga Enigma.” A handful of the dates will be a special “Jazz and Piano” show featuring “stripped down versions” of her hits as well as “music from the Great American Songbook.”

Lady Gaga announced the residency in December 2017. At the time it was reported that the deal was worth $100 million, with Lady Gaga making over $1 million per show. It was also announced at that time that the run would include 74 concerts.

Public ticket sales begin on Aug 13 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster but they are already available. Members of Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters fan club were able to buy them in pre-sales beginning Aug 8. Citi Cardmembers can purchase them in a pre-sale beginning Aug 9 and members of MGM’s M Life Rewards can buy them beginning Aug. 11.

Lady Gaga appeared at the MTV Movie Awards last night, Monday, June 18, accepting her award for Best Music Documentary of 2018 for her movie Five Foot Two and presenting the Best Movie Award to Black Panther. While she was onstage presenting the award, she revealed a secret about her movie Five Foot Two, she’s actually 5’3-1/2″.

Check out the video below:

Worldwide Media was set on fire by Warner Brother’s release of the first trailer from Lady Gaga’s new movie A Star Is Born on Thursday, June 7. It is her first leading role in a major motion picture.

“It’s a dream come true and an honor to be a part of this incredible movie,” Lady Gaga wrote in a statement released on Twitter that day. “Bradley’s ability as a director, actor and musician is astounding. It’s called A Star Is Born, and I can’t wait for you to meet Jack and Ally.”

Along with the trailer, Warner Brothers released the first key details about the movie, the fourth production of the classic, tragic love story. The original, released in 1937, starred Janet Gaynor and Frederic March. Two remakes have been released previously. One, released in 1954, starred Judy Garland and James Mason. The second, released in 1976, starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

The new 2018 production features an entirely new screenplay written by Cooper and new, original songs written by Lady Gaga with Cooper and artists including Lubar Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson. All music in the moving is original and was recorded live, including all live vocals with no lip synching.

Lady Gaga’s art melds credibility and commercialism in a way that seems to reach across humanity.

During the day before her 2017 Amalie Arena show, a local Republican Party activist in his 70s told me that his wife and friends would be going to the show that night. She was his age. Later, in another part of town, my friend left for the show with his 8-year-old daughter, posting pics on facebook along the way.

Meanwhile, in Tampa, Lady Gaga was paying the holiday layaway tab for 25 families at Burlington Coat Factory.

At the show that night another friend, a single mom in her 30s, traded her obstructed view seats for seats on the floor.

The next day back in Dunedin, library patrons were talking about her onstage support for Florida’s Voter Rights petitions to restore voting rights to Floridians with non-violent felonies. (Editor’s Note: On Mar 27, 2018, US District Judge Mark Walker issued a permanent injunction in support of the Fair Elections Legal Network, ordering Florida Gov. Rick Scott and his Cabinet come up with a plan to replace the state’s “fatally flawed” arbitrary system of restoring voting rights to felons by April 26, 2018, Scott has since appealed.)

Sunday on the St. Pete waterfront for the close of the Boat Show, women everywhere seemed to be CLEARLY dressed like her. People kept asking the petition circulator working by the show for “the one that Lady Gaga talked about on stage.”

She never fails to use her fame to promote a good cause or get attention.

Once the frontwoman for a Led Zeppelin cover band, she didn’t have to work so hard to be an incredible performer — she CHOSE to.

She performed “Joanne” and “Million Reasons” at the 2018 Grammys on January 29 (she was nominated for both songs), but was forced to cancel the last 10 European dates of her world tour just days later, on February 3.

It was the second time she has been forced off the road due to pain from her ongoing struggle with Fibromyalgia. The first time, in September 2017, she canceled the final dates of her US/European tour in support of her latest album, “Joanne,” withdrawing from her scheduled Rock in Rio performance after she was hospitalized “in severe pain.” She opened up about her physical struggle with pain in performing in her 2017 Netflix documentary Five Foot Two.

On February 3, promoter Live Nation announced that Lady Gaga had canceled the remaining dates of her Joanne world tour because of “severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live.”

“All I know is that if I don’t do this, I’m not standing by the words or meaning of my music,” she said, apologizing to her fans in a statement released on Twitter, saying she needed to “put (her) well-being first.”

Amy [Winehouse] changed pop music forever, I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues.

She has been recovering at home since. In March, paparazzi snapped the first pictures of her since the February cancellation as she and fiance Christian Carino, a talent agent, shopped for groceries and got cozy on the beach in Malibu.

She stars opposite Bradley Cooper in an upcoming remake of the classic Streisand movie, “A Star Is Born”, due out Oct 15. Cooper directs in the role originally played by Kris Kristofferson. RuPaul star “Shangela” plays Lady Gaga’s drag mom. Streisand herself has deemed the movie “very, very, good.”

Most recently, Lady Gaga has announced that she will begin a two-year Las Vegas residency at MGMs Park Theatre on December 18. “The rumors are true,” she wrote in her announcement on social media. “Get ready for a brand new show!! It’s been my lifelong dream to be a vegas girl. I’m so overjoyed.”
